Testimonials

It never occurred to me that my new "Write Where You Want" project would turn out quite so well. I imagined it for so long, and loved the mental image. You made it heads and shoulders above my dream. Thank you so much! - Cassie

This is the coolest thing I've done in my home yet. I wish I'd hired you to come do this three years ago when I first heard about you. What A Fantastic Job! Many thanks...- Sophie

Q: Do I have to put each letter on individually?
A: The vinyl letters come pre-positioned and transfers all at once, so there is no need to do letters one at a time.

Q: Where can I put the vinyl?
A: Vinyl letters will stick to any smooth or lightly textured surface. For example: walls, wood, smooth metal, glass, and most floor tiles.

Q: What if I need to remove the lettering from my wall?
A: Just slip a fingernail under one corner and carefully peel it away, keeping the piece as close to the wall as possible. You might find that the warmth of a hair dryer speeds things up. Some darker paints will fade over time due to sun exposure. This causes the area under the letters to be darker than the surrounding wall color.

Q: How do I pay?
A:You can pay by mail or when you pickup your order. Send checks or money orders to:

Write Where You Want

5311 NE 56th Street

Vancouver, WA 98661

Once payment is received, your order will be shipped

Pickup: You may pay by check, money order, or cash at the time of pickup.

Any returned checks will be subject to a $20.00 handling fee.

Q: How do I determine the height of the vinyl lettering?
A: The height is determined by measuring the tallest point and the lowest point of the phrase. For example, a phrase that says, "Enjoy the Journey", would be measured from the top of the capital 'E' in 'Enjoy' to the bottom of the 'j' or 'y' in 'Enjoy'.

Q: How do I apply my custom vinyl lettering?
A: Use these steps to apply your custom vinyl lettering:

  1. Position Your Lettering:
Mark out some guidelines on the surface you’re applying the vinyl to ensure your lettering will go on straight. Align your vinyl lettering to the surface, using the guidelines that you marked. Tape the vinyl lettering to the upper edge of the guidelines to keep it in position.
  2. Remove the Backing Paper:
Flip-up the vinyl lettering and peel off the backing.
  3. Rub the Vinyl Letters/Graphics:
Rub over the vinyl lettering or graphics to securely adhere them to your surface. Work from the center to the outside edge on both sides.
  4. Remove the Transfer Paper:
Carefully peel off the transfer sticking paper to reveal your vinyl lettering or graphics.
